Joshua has undertaken many special commissions.

Here are a few;

In September 2003 and having just left school, Joshua received his first special commission. This was to compose a piece of music called 'Calm Before The Storm' for Angela Kelly, Her Majesty The Queen's Personal Assistant. This, she then gave to Her Majesty as a special Christmas present. On December 9th, 2004, Joshua Field was invited to attend a private Christmas Luncheon held by Her Majesty The Queen. Joshua performed her piece, 'Calm before The Storm', both for her and her personal circle. He played his compositions and some of her favourite Christmas carols for well over two hours.

On the 15th August 2006 Joshua completed a private commission for Mrs Carlota Wigglesworth. This was to provide an entire album of special lullabies. The album is called 'Cancione Para Ines and it has a strong Spanish/Venezuelan influence. The album was a gift to mark her grandchild's first birthday.  Five hundred copies went out to employees family;y and friends.

On the 12th September 2006-Joshua completed a major work, one  he had been working on since April 2005. This entire project was called 'The Calling'.

There were three elements;

1.Joshua was commisioned to create an anthem for The Company of World Traders using the World Traders own choir which he called The Calling. He also provided nine other pieces of music all on a special commemorative CD. The design cover was quite unique.

2. Then a major piece of artwork was made by Master Silversmith Tom Scott. This took the form of a 15" high, silver, gold and titanium centrepiece. This is also called The Calling and the design matches the CD cover.

3. On the night of Joshua's 21st birthday on October 12th 2006, Joshua produced a live performance at The Drapers Hall. He conducted The World Traders Choir as they sung his piece, The Calling, before 400 Freemen of The City of London. The occasion marked the instalation Banquet of the new incoming master who in turn made a presentaion to Joshua to mark his 21st Birthday
